About Us

Delivering projects on time and on budget while adhering to the highest safety standards.

J.A. Miara Transportation originated in Charlestown, Massachusetts in 1956 and was incorporated in 1962. Our facility in Wilmington, Massachusetts is perfectly situated at Routes 93, 95 and 495, allowing us easy access to all the major highways of the New England states.

Our riggers, truck drivers, and crane operators are seasoned professionals, well-versed in the art of moving heavy machinery. Our road crews are experienced drivers, with many miles under their tires. We specialize in special permit loads: high, wide, or heavy.

Miara Transportation acquired Sherman Crane, Russell-Stimpson, W. F. Harnum Rigging, G&M Trucking, D.L. Quinn Riggers, Rushco, Jerry Rigging, and Northeast Pilot Car. These acquisitions expanded our crane services, broadened our expertise to the graphic arts industries with Russell-Stimpson, and increased our rigging capacity with W.F. Harnum, D L Quinn, Condor, G&M, and Jerry Rigging, while continuing to provide exceptional hauling services across the United States with international destinations including Canada, Mexico, Ireland and South Korea.
