Executive Team

Joseph A. Miara Jr., Chief Executive Officer

Joseph A. Miara Jr. started riding in trucks at a very early age, going with his father and grandfather. He worked summers at the family business through high school and joined full time after graduating college. At the time, the company was a small operation run by Joseph’s father. With determination and a strong work ethic, Joseph worked side by side with his father to learn and grow the business. Over the years, he gained hands-on experience across all areas of the company, from field operations to office management. His deep understanding of every facet of the business laid the foundation for long-term success.

Through a series of acquisitions, Miara Transportation evolved from a small-scale rigging operation into a rigging, crane, specialized transportation, and industrial storage company. Joseph Miara leads with the core values of integrity, hard work, and clear communication—principles that have helped build long-standing relationships at the heart of the company’s success.

Today, with over 40 years of industry experience, Joseph is joined by his son, Joseph Miara III, who shares his vision for the future and is helping to carry the business forward for the next generation. Together, their forward-thinking mindset and pursuit of excellence has positioned Miara Transportation as a trusted partner and industry leader. Joseph continues to guide the company with a focus on safety, performance, and long-term client relationships.

Joseph Miara III, Vice President

Joe Miara III, Vice President of J.A. Miara Transportation, grew up in the business with an extensive, hands-on understanding of the industry. From the time he could lace up a pair of work boots, his father would bring him to work to wash trucks, organize the warehouse and rigging equipment, and immerse himself in the day-to-day operations of the company. Throughout high school and college, he spent summers working on a rigging crew, gaining firsthand experience in the field and developing a strong understanding of the rigging, crane, and transportation industry.

Joe earned his bachelor’s degree in Business Management from Palm Beach Atlantic University, graduating with honors and recognition on the Provost’s List, and being named to Who’s Who Among Students in American Universities and Colleges. While in school, he interned with Merchant Crane and Rigging, further expanding his knowledge on the industry from a different perspective than the family business he had always worked in. After college, Joe returned to J.A. Miara, working in the field as a rigger and CDL-A Driver. His years of experience in the field gave him a clear understanding of what it takes to successfully execute complex rigging and transportation projects. Looking to grow the company, Joe worked with his father to acquire Russell Stimpson to expand into the graphic arts market, D. L. Quinn for industrial storage, and Rushco to expand Miara’s national heavy hauling services.

Today, he combines his operational knowledge with his business background to contribute to the company’s growth and success. Joe maintains an unwavering focus on customer service, always striving to be responsive, reliable, and solutions-oriented.
