Moving Buddha statues
Moving Buddha statues

J.A. Miara was tasked with placing multiple statues on platforms in a meditation center. The challenge the riggers faced was that they could not bring in any heavy equipment, such as forklifts, to assist with this placement due to the statues being moved on the third floor. Additionally, the statues were extremely delicate, so they had to be handled with care as they were being lifted. In order to position and lift each one, specialty equipment was required. For the smaller statues, our gantry was used to lift and then position them. For the largest statue, cribbing blocks and a jacking system were used to slowly lift the statue until it was at its designated height and then placed on the pedestal. Due to the rigger’s attention to detail and careful maneuvers, each statue was placed correctly and safely.
