J.A. Miara Transportation started this job at Conley Terminal in Boston, with one of our trucks receiving a container that arrived internationally via ship. The container was filled with six crates that contained glass and framework for an upcoming construction project. It was important that the crates were handled with care considering the fragility of glass. Once the truck arrived at Miara’s headquarters in Wilmington, a crane was used to lift each crate from the container. From there, a forklift with a jib attachment was used to lift and move each crate into our indoor storage facility. Riggers worked diligently with the crane operator to ensure that each crate was handled with care while being lifted and relocated. The job was successfully completed over the course of a few days.
